As a key medical institution in our city, the Municipal Hospital previously operated a single entrance during the pandemic, requiring time-consuming procedures, including code scanning and temperature checks. For residents without health codes or smartphones, the already narrow entrance became even more crowded, placing significant pressure on epidemic prevention efforts and hindering access to the main entrance.

Starting on December 25th, the Municipal People's Hospital officially implemented a smart access control system. Residents no longer need to queue, repeatedly scan codes, and take temperatures, waiting for staff approval. Instead, they simply wear a mask, carry their smartphone, and scan their health code for smooth entry.

Currently, the Municipal Hospital's smart access control system has six entrances, one of which is a manual access system. Residents and medical staff can enter the hospital by swiping their second-generation ID card or presenting and scanning their health code. After facial recognition and temperature checks, they are allowed through, making the entire process quick and convenient. This not only provides a safer medical environment for residents and medical staff, but also further strengthens daily epidemic prevention and control efforts.

Wang Gong, Technical Director of the Access Control System, stated, "The access control system is connected to the National Health Commission, and everyone now has a unique code. Scanning your health code allows entry with a green code. Alternatively, you can scan your ID card, which is also linked to your health code and also requires a green code for entry. An automatic alarm will be triggered if your temperature reaches 37.3°C or above. We have also set up a manual access channel."

According to reports, the manual access channel is designed to facilitate quick entry for residents who forget their ID cards or elderly people who are unfamiliar with the "Health Code" system, through manual registration and temperature measurement.

To facilitate patient admission, the People's Hospital has added an access gate at the entrance to the outpatient building plaza, adjacent to Fuhui Road. The existing motor vehicle and non-motor vehicle entrances remain unchanged. All personnel must pass through the gate and scan the code to enter. Patients with fever will be directed to the emergency department by medical staff.
